Qualifications (Essential)
By date of joining, you must hold/be able to obtain:
- An unrestricted Instructor certificate in accordance with Part-FCL requirements
- A valid EASA CPL
- A valid EASA Instrument Rating
- A valid EASA SEP Class-Rating
- A valid Night Rating
- An EASA Class 1 medical certificate without restriction (in accordance with Part-Med requirements)
- A Basic Disclosure certificate via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) with respect to any "unspent” criminal convictions
Qualifications (Desirable)
- Previous experience leading a flight training organisation, with demonstrable in-depth knowledge of CAA and EASA regulations pertaining to flight training and aircraft maintenance
- Experienced instructors (plus five years)
- Previous Cirrus flying experience
- Dual qualified with FAA CPL/ATP and a Certified Flight Instructor
- Experience flying and operating out of the US
- Foreign language ability may be an advantage
Principle Accountabilities
- Deliver training five days per week, including some weekends and occasional night flying
- Monitor student flying progress
- Prepare and maintain student training records
- Supervision and standardisation training of all flight instructors
- Accountability for flying activities, including adherence to local and regulatory requirements as it pertains to flight training and aircraft rentals
- Establishing a recurrent training schedule for all stakeholders’ renters, members, instructors
- Various administrative and other duties that directly support the flight school
- Take control of the training program, assess and update the school’s manuals, responding to changes in regulation and keep syllabi up to date
